About CPS

At Community Partnership School, students take their first steps towards becoming successful and engaged citizens. Crucial to that success is access to a top-notch, affordable education that inspires, equips, and positions our children to achieve their best – in the classroom and far beyond. The student body at CPS is largely made up of children from traditionally underserved parts of North Philadelphia and the surrounding area. Through an equal and open partnership between school personnel and families, we empower and support our hardworking and motivated students and better position them to achieve their dreams. We believe that all children deserve this type of education.

Walk into any of our Pre-K to 5th-grade classrooms and our students will greet you, introduce themselves, and welcome you to the class. Our curriculum develops social and emotional intelligence in addition to providing a strong academic foundation – a combination that positions our students for long- term success in the classroom and beyond. During school hours, CPS students access a hands-on, well-rounded curriculum with core subjects such as literacy, math, and science, complemented by health and physical education, technology, music, fine arts classes, and social-emotional instruction. When the school day ends, the educational process continues through a strong partnership with our students’ families. Consistent formal and informal interactions facilitate open communication which fosters deeper levels of mutual responsibility between home and school. This lays the groundwork for a strong, solid, continuous support system for each and every one of our students.
