Applying to Community Partnership School

We are excited that you are considering Community Partnership School for your child for the 2025-2026 school year. We recommend beginning the application process in the fall before you would like to enroll your child.

Below are the 5 Steps to apply.

Please note that an application is not considered complete and ready for review by our admissions team until all steps of the application process are completed.

Step 1:

Attend an Open House

We offer several in-person and virtual information sessions each enrollment season so that parents and caregivers can tour the school, see classes in session, and learn first-hand what makes CPS so special.

To join us at one of our Open Houses or virtual information sessions, please register below. We can’t wait to meet you!

Step 2:

Submit an online application

We are pleased that you are considering a CPS education for your child. We encourage you to reach out to inquire about availability in particular grades before submitting an application. We can be reached via email at

admissions@cpsphilly.org.

Step 3:

Submit a teacher recommendation and academic records

After you complete your online application, you will receive a recommendation link via email to send to your child’s current teacher. You will also need to sign and deliver a Consent for Academic Records for to the main office at your child’s current school.

Step 4:

Schedule a family interview and student visit

The virtual family interview will be scheduled once we receive a completed teacher recommendation form. We use this time to get to know your child and family and to answer questions you may have about Community Partnership School.

Students applying for grades 1st-5th are required to attend a classroom visit.

Pre-K and Kindergarten applicants will be required to attend an Admissions Play Date.

Step 5:

Submit a tuition assistance application

Our tuition assistance program is need-based and aims to bridge the gap between the cost of tuition and what a family can reasonably afford to pay. We use Clarity Application to assess each family’s financial situation, ensuring a fair and equitable distribution of aid.

Application Review and Notification

The Community Partnership School Admissions Committee will begin reviewing complete applications beginning in January with the goal of making admissions decisions by early spring.

Due to limited availability in certain grades, not all qualified applicants will be granted admission.
