Applying to CPS

We are excited that you are considering Community Partnership School for your child for the 2024-2025 school year. We recommend beginning the application process in the fall before you would like to enroll your child.

Please note: Preschool applicants must be 4 years old by September 1 of the year that they plan to enter school. Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by September 1.

Below are the steps to becoming a CPS family.

STEP 1: ATTEND AN OPEN HOUSE

We offer several in-person and virtual information sessions each enrollment season so that parents and caregivers can tour the school, see classes in session, and learn first-hand what makes CPS so special.

To join us at one of our Open Houses or virtual information sessions, please register below. We can’t wait to meet you!

STEP 2: COMPLETE ONLINE APPLICATION

We encourage all new families to attend a virtual open house; however, if you are ready to begin the application process you may access the application below.

Click Register to begin, detailed instruction will be sent via email to complete the application.

STEP 3: TEACHER RECOMMENDATION FORM

After you complete your online application, we ask that your child’s teacher complete and return our downloadable teacher recommendation form and consent for academic records release (if applicable for the grade to which your child is applying). Completed forms can be returned via email to admissions@communitypartnershipschool.org.

STEP 4: FAMILY INTERVIEW AND SCHOOL VISIT

The virtual family interview will be scheduled once we receive a completed teacher recommendation form. We use this time to get to know your child and family and to answer questions you may have about Community Partnership School.

In addition to the family interview, students applying for grades 1st-5th are required to attend a classroom visit. An admissions representative will reach out to you to schedule your visit.

Pre-K and Kindergarten applicants will be required to attend an Admissions Play Date. Parents can RSVP using the link below.

STEP 5: SUBMIT FINANCIAL AID FORM

CPS is committed to making our independent school education affordable for all families. After submitting a financial aid application, CPS works with each family to determine an appropriate financial aid and family contribution.

Families interested in applying for financial aid should submit a financial aid application and $40 application fee via FACTS by February 17, 2024, to be eligible for first-round review and decision notification.

We also encourage all of our families to apply for additional tuition assistance through Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia. Each year, CSFP conducts a lottery to provide needs-based, partial scholarships for eligible families.

NOTIFICATION

We will notify you by mail of our admission decision after March 1. Please note that because of space limitations, not all qualified applicants will be granted admission.
